This native of Aix-en Provence, Southern France, has felt an affection for since his first tacks aboard an Optimist in the Mediterranean. Born on 22nd December 1972 to parents who were both teachers (natural science and technology) and fervent enthusiasts of the great outdoors, he rapidly plunged into the heart of the countryside: camping, hiking, climbing, swimming, dancing, cycling, alpine skiing… he completed his training at a Music Conservatoire and did a degree course, which materialized into a year of a Maths course.
